Determining and selecting the ideal location for a business
enterprise is vital. Strategically and ideally located businesses, especially startups, enjoy various benefits, including higher returns on investment. As such, factors to consider in selecting the location for a software development company are several. They include access to incubation programs, availability of technology and information technology professionals, among others. In choosing the country to start my software development company, I would consider Taiwan.
My reason for selecting Taiwan is based on the recent rise of the country as one of the best technologically advancing state around the globe. Currently, Taiwan ranks among the best countries when it comes to the most skilled developers. The developers boast strong proficiencies in areas including data structures and functional programming. Besides, the government of Taiwan has continually made substantial investments in software, and IT related fields in its aim to make Taiwan “Asia’s Silicon Valley”, in relation to California’s Silicon Valley. In this attempt, the country has greatly improved IT infrastructure and improved STEM education. Although Taiwan is a non-English speaking nation which could make communication difficult, the country is considering adopting English to be among their national languages in attempts to solve communication problems.
As above, Taiwan is a suitable country to start a software development country. With the enormous government support for IT and the goal of becoming a technology and innovation hub, the company boasts a potential of performing well. Focusing on STEM subjects will ensure a high number of IT experts. All these efforts will ensure the company remains in pace with new technologies around the world while remaining competitive in the industry.
