Diaspora
Diaspora mainly refers to the distribution of an individual community at a different geographical location but is believed to be of the same indigenous origin. These are people who live in a foreign land and have the same origin from their ancestors hence practice the same culture. In recent days, apart from being identified with their ancestral background, most scholars have started identifying Diaspora with their migration routes, types of trade they participate in, and how they practice their culture in a foreign land, they found themselves. There are three exam0ples of Diaspora mainly, African Diaspora, European Diaspora, and lastly, Asian Diaspora.
African Diasporas is believed to have originated from the sub-Saharan several years ago. These are African who were brought into America during the transatlantic trade to perfume various duties in America. In most cases, they were transported for work, especially on their farms and industries. As a result, many of their African Americans have been identified with primary Portuguese, French, Spanish, and British cultures. From the 8th to the 19th century, the slave trade had begun to be regulated by the Arabs, and the number that was getting g into the united states was reducing. The African Diaspora is identified to have fought for their rights in America and looked for ways in which they would settle peacefully with the whites. This proved that they were slowly gaining knowledge and were becoming educated so much. Currently, African Americans have only been allowed to move into a maximum of 13 countries without visas. Those with visas from different countries may move to other countries freely but for a limited period of time.
The largest Asian Diaspora that is believed to have spread to many parts of the world is the Indian Diaspora. As a result, their population has increased to over 17.2 million people around the globe. Also, the Jewish and the Judea people are part of the Asian Diaspora that has spread to many parts of the world. With the culture of Christianism, they have been able to convert many people to follow their religions. Chinese people have also spread to many parts. In the 16th century, several Chinese were living in the United States but were eliminated and deported during the Second World War to Latin American countries such as Mexico and Peru. Also, many Chinese communities in the 19th century had to move to more developing countries such as Australia, Malaysia, and South East Asia. This was because of the drought and other factors, such as sourcing for labor. China was very weak and could not support its population hence led to their migration. The Nepalese Diaspora also comprised of the Buddhists and Bhutan’s. The two communities participated in early marriages, which made them have a higher population and settled in the United States. This was after they had moved from Bhutan.
European history was also among the members who formed Diasporas. The ancient Greeks developed their cultures and equally spread to other parts of the country. In most cases, Europe and moved as missionaries and as Christians who were covering the gospel. Many at times, some scholars considered some European stranded in the African countries as Diasporas. However, the colonies are not considered as Diasporas as many of the colonies were always deported to various places when the countries gained independence. The Greek has ever been found in Egypt and West Asia places. Additionally, the Germanic people equally spread to Eastern Europe with tribes such as vandals and Franks.
