Discussion on the emancipation proclamation
Hello Diann, I agree with your discussion on the emancipation proclamation that was issued by President Lincoln to free all the slaves from the south. The people there really valued the human property that they felt they should not release the slaves just like that which made a majority of them not to surrender to the preliminary address despite the promise of the compensation. The proclamation however, came into effect and the slaves took the chance to fight for their freedom. I also agree with your discussion on the great migration that was largely facilitated by the freedom to the ex-slaves due to the end of slavery and also the availability of opportunities in the North and the West.
