Donald Trump Vs. Obama Barrack’s Presidency

With over 200 years 0f strong democratic experience, America remains the world’s most significant pacesetter in the history of global politics. In the same breath, leaders who take over the mantle of leading this country must be people with uttermost political prowess and untainted character, having the will and preparedness to stabilize the country’s economy as uniting the multi-racially dominated country. This paper explores the nature of the presidencies of two recent presidents, Brack Obama, and Donald Trump.

Barrack Obama was the American 44th president, serving his two terms between the years 2009 to 2017.  Arguably, he was among the most potent presidents America has ever had, mainly because he stabilize the diplomati9c relationship between the US and other countries. Like many Democrat-affiliated presidents, he made promises to increase taxes on the higher-income families, improve healthcare, and strengthen regulations. Obama put a lot of effort into up-scaling the US economy. For instance, in a span of just two years (2014-2016), he ensured that the country’s GDP grew at a rate of 2.5%. Many Americans witnessed a lot of decline in their incomes, especially during the significant recession period, taking years for t6he wages to recovery. However, in 2017, under the leadership of Obama, most middle-class families witnessed a sharp climbing in their incomes, far beyond where it was. This shows outstanding leadership in the economy under Barrack’s regime.

On healthcare, president Obama did relatively well, especially with the introduction of “The Obama Care” programs. Many households were able to get access to quality healthcare at affordable prices.

Besides, Obama also made several achievements in creating jobs during his first three years as the American President with a figure of almost 8 million jobs. The economy of the US technically added over 200000 monthly (Yaddulla 2). Trump could not do much during his term, but many experts believe that the employment growth remains robust. He made sure there was a total bilateral trade with international countries such as China, strengthening the American supply chains.

On Trump’s side, during his leadership, the American household incomes rose in the first three years. The median household income grew by 5.8 percent. Trump told the Americans that he would do better in economic gain, yet his record indicated an almost similar structure to Barrack’s last years in office. The deregulatory push and tax cuts boosted growth in 2018, but that appears to be going away even as many business owners show concerns about trade wars.

Compared to Osama’s regime, Trump did poorly in enhancing unity in the State as he promised during his campaigns. It is during his term that several social violence and protest were recorded in the history of America. Individuals were divided along racial lines, with the People of color being at the receiving end of America racial brutalities and social justice. Eventually, he left the country more divided than he found it.

On healthcare, Donald Trump tried to sabotage the various health policies and programs put in place by his predecessor. He fought the “Obama Care,” a program that was expected to change several low-income Americans’ health status. In line with the arguments made by Skowronek on “Presidential Leadership in Political Times,” a good president must face the challenges and crisis at his time while at the same time stabilizing the economy. This concept appeared so green to Donald Trump, especially on how he handled the recent Covid 19 pandemic. He took a stand that claimed several Americans’ lives by ignoring the possible fact that Covid could be detrimental to health.

Trump also sabotaged the diplomatic relationship between America and the international organizations and countries. During his regime, the China-America trade deal suffered the worst fate ever in the history of America. Until the time that he was vacating office for the new President, Joe Biden, he had signed several treaties that would thwart the diplomatic relationship between the US and

Comparatively, Barrack is more powerful and influential than Donald Trump. This is true considering the several efforts that Obama made to revive and stabilize the American economy, influence and make better the countries diplomatic relationships with other countries, and be able to unite the people of America.
