Dr. Chris Brummer -Creating Dialogues within Financial Spheres

 

Professor Chris Brummer of Georgetown’s Institute of International Economic Law has been juggling between running a successful business and teaching law as a faculty director at the Institute. Dr. Chris Brummer has had an impressive career with a humble beginning having started off as an assistant professor at Vanderbilt Law School. His track record has seen him give lectures in some of the prestigious institutions across the globe, including the London School of Economics.

 

Outside his classroom, Dr. Chris plays an active role in the financial world, pushing for new legislative laws and regulations on finances. He seeks to effect change from within is a member of both the Commodity Futures Trading Commissions on Virtual Currencies and the Consultative Working Group for the European Securities and Markets Authority’s Financial Innovation Standing Committee. He has also served several other committees like the National Adjudicatory Council of FINRA.

 

Dr. Chris Brummer’s excellent performance can be attributed partially to his great knowledge base, having scaled the heights in education. He attained his JD from Columbia Law School, where he graduated with honors before proceeding to get a Ph.D. IN Germanic studies from the

The University of Chicago.

 

Chris has also authored several books regarding financial policies, for example, Fintech in a Nutshell and Cryptoassets. He has also been an integral part of other publications and analyses of the financial markets. With the need to share information on the financial laws and regulations, Dr. Chris Brummer founded the Fintech Week. The Fintech Week is a forum that allows people to talk and learn more about Fintech policies.

 

The forum creates a space where a wide range of leaders and key players in the financial markets get together to talk about financial regulations with the regulatory community. The forum targets to create a wide connection of networks of players who are able to openly talk about policy and the various aspects regarding the policies.
