Q1. After going through the e-Home Automation International Case, I understood that Mr. Ahmed A.A. Al Jazir, the founder of the company, realised the feasibility of developing home solutions for the UAE population. The founder was focussed and committed towards the company growth. He realised that home solutions needs of the customers are security, lighting, climate, digital surveillance, curtains and so on. Hence, he attempted to design products for residential properties. I have understood that the entrepreneur possesses qualities such as innovation, risk-taking abilities and creative thinking.
Q2. The company offered smart solutions for residential properties in the UAE, and therefore, the products are quite feasible as it meets the needs of the people. By using the products, the temperature inside rooms can be controlled, and I also found the other features of the products quite fascinating. For example, the automatic blinds or the audio-video program are useful because customer’s needs are getting fulfilled. Similarly, apartments, villas and requirements of other complex area have been fulfilled due to the practical usefulness of these products.
Q3. In this answer, I attempted to highlight the various financial factors that led to the development of the business. Hence, I mentioned about ROI, capital sources, start-up capital and similar other factors. Financial feasibility analysis has been done to assess the fund requirements for the business and resources required for the start-up. Hence, I mentioned about the balance sheet and income statement, cash flow statement etc. These financial resources should be maintained for continuing the business.
Q4. Here, I have pointed out three tests that should be conducted for testing a business plan. Hence, I mentioned about the reality test, competitive test and the value test. As it is evident from the answer that the reality test would help in understanding the market of E-automation. Similarly, the competitive test would help in identifying the relative position of the company in comparison to its competitors. Lastly, the value test will definitely help in testing the value of the services and products offered by E-automation.
Q5. In the case of HUB 71, I have attempted to point out the objectives of business incubation. Incubation helps the entrepreneurs to use the resources appropriately. For example, the creation of a central hub will benefit the entrepreneurs as they will gain insights regarding upcoming and new trends. People looking forward to establishing themselves will also be benefitted from business incubation. Moreover, I mentioned that successful collaboration could become a reality because people will come and get a chance to talk to each other about their business.
Q6. In this answer, I have outlined the benefits of Special Economic Zones (SEZ). I have stated that SEZ can regulate environments and elements of money related matters. SEZ can also attract foreign direct investments (FDI). I have also stated that SEZ can enhance GDP. It means that economic growth can be ensured. It is evident that after setting SEZ, employment opportunities have increased in the UAE. Moreover, SEZ has benefitted business owners because they have received quick approvals for starting a new business. Lastly, the transportation system has become efficient.
