Part 1

Society today benefits from different aspects, as presented by the available goods and services. These goods and services are what represent the economic resources. The fact that the economic resources are in most times limited creates the aspect of opportunity cost (Turnhout et al., 23). However, the value of goods makes them be sold out in the market and be bought using the value in money.

Basing on the above description of economic resources:

Section (a) a double hamburger represents an economic resource because it is food (product) with a high value in society. The nutritious value translates to the economic value, and that is how it’s sold-out, promoting the constant cash flow between buyers and sellers. Through eating the hamburger, people get the energy to work again, and that is the gain they get from the food that makes them buy it over and over again. This makes the double hamburger a great commodity in the economy.

Section (b) Laptops as economic goods have various roles they play. They provide the necessary comfort at workplaces by doing work easy, efficient, and clean with less paper work. It is a great source of entertainment at home through movies, music, video games, etc. The most crucial aspect is that it’s worthwhile owning but then scarce in supply. This means that it is essential, but not all people own it that has made electronic shops for hiking prices, and they still do not lack customers. Thus is has ended up having a positive impact on the economy.

Section (c) Another unnoticed asset to the economy is the UCI parking. As a kind of service, it can provide parking space for people who work at UCI. What’s more, there are few positions, so there’s a shortage of them. If UCI charges students or professors for parking cars, then parking is an economic benefit. On the contrary, if UCI provides a free parking lot, it might not be an economic good, because in this case, while it has value, it does not use it to exchange money.

Part 2

Section (a)

In my opinion, it is inevitable to include supernatural references while defining faith. The cats of faith have proved that the divine definition is what all regions bank on. Other definitions of faith are thus not considered valid should they lack the divine aspect in them. Virtue and consciousness is the stage of concentration for most spiritual beings that religious practices and teachings emulate. It is thus worth noting that faith is deeply rooted in irrationality, such that it is just worth having some connection to the supernatural. In the renaissance era and middle ages, many people’s worship was based on a host of supernatural agencies and a host of spirits. This is pure proof that connects the whole idea of religion to an interpretation of the supernatural.

Section (b)

For the longest time, most churchgoers who stay strict to the tales of faith are bound by social laws. These laws dictate that they are not involved in certain issues such as drinking, club dancing, or even attending events at the theatre. Another example is that people need to use sheep or goats as an offering. Or there will be set rites or services in a mass. The churchgoers also ought to do something following the doctrine of the Church. Most of the set rules and laws belong to the Catholic Church Code of Conduct and tend to regulate what almost all churches do worldwide.

Part 3

Section (a)

A proportionality range of approximately 48% is quite low. Several studies have indicated that about 48% of the adolescents claim to have a similar religion to that of their parents, which turns out not to be when they are asked to express their religion as individuals. Moreover, some studies showed that regarding the value of faith, it turns out to be more important to the parents than adolescents (Edgell, 47). Thus among the mention forty-eight percent of the teenagers, there is a likelihood of having many people who still feel that religion is not that important to them.

Section (b)

In my opinion, the clear indication displayed in these results shows that Americans will soon turn out to be less religious than before. First of all, the clearest indication is derived from the young generation. Generation-Z, which is supposed to make up the future, currently believes that religion is not important at all. Therefore, with such a belief, the future is expected to be made up of people who do not appreciate the facts of religion at all. Secondly, much as religious studies are popular globally, we still have those who say they got no interest at all and did not engage in such studies. This can then be translated to mean that the teen’s interest in religion is way lower than that of their parents. Thirdly, statistics have indicated that over 61% of the youths believe in no need to believe in God (Edgell,15). Said, over 61% of the American youths have turned to be pagans and/or atheists. In their view, all is well provided that people have good values and ethics. With such a thought that it is not important to believe in God, the people’s religious values are bound to reduce by a great margin in the future.

Part 4

Other than religion maintaining its focus on worship and as free as it has always been, reports indicate that some people have too high membership fees at the Unification Church. For the longest time now, there have been discussions to lower the costs of belonging and the benefits inscribed therein. Other than that, other factors that have attracted long discussions are focused on lack of privacy, interference with family matters, and so on (Selengut, 23). With all this in mind, most people are left to think independently and make their final decision regarding religion. In addition to that, it is evident that even for the Unification Church members, they would leave in case what they get fails to outweigh the cost they have.

Also, the management theory of deviant behavior may be a clear example of rational choice. Control theory indicates that when people assume that they will lose more by being discovered in deviant behavior than by deviant behavior, they will follow this behavior. Given that people always have different stands in all circumstances, this has made some people realize while others are yet to. The variation in people’s opinions is the result of all that. They are then set to develop an action that will result in fewer losses—a clear indication of making rational choices.
