            Education in the 21st century is considered to undergo many changes from the traditional way of learning. This aspect is associated with the development of new technologies and the difference in the perception of various teaching and learning techniques. Due to this reason, the sensitivity in the way teaching practices are undertaken has significantly influenced the methods used in teaching as the society yearns for more education. Such processes are associated with the changing nature of society. Due to this reason, new teaching strategies ensure that the teachers and the instructors can meet the needs of every student to ensure that they explore their potentials. Such measures are relevant as they enable the learners to achieve the level of skills and competence required in the business world and the ever-changing society due to the increased use of technology in everyday life. Such qualities are met through the development of advanced literacies, the instructional leadership framework, and the incorporation of technology in the learning process.

The advanced literacies seek to enhance the comprehension of the different texts taught in school, thus increased learning output. This aspect is aimed at changing the way individuals think about vocabulary instructions. Therefore, the incorporation of advanced literacy is perceived to enhance the way teaching activities are undertaken based on specific principles that are seen to develop new potentials to the learners in the 21st century. Such literacies are focused on enhancing the academic vocabularies that exist and the language used in learning.  The advance literacy involves the understanding of the meaning attached to different words and phrases which the learners hear or read and encourage the use of such words and phrases to enhance their speeches and writing this development of effective communication. Therefore the ILF is considered to focus on strengthening the core instructional framework, understanding the potential of the students, and use of an inclusive and shared curriculum. Such aspects are very crucial in the enhancement of literacy and education in the 21st century.

The use of multiple literacies and incorporation of technology in the teaching practice play a significant role in the enhancement of education and level of scholarship. Multiple literacies are used to enhance the ability of students to learn and communicate in different forms.
