1.0 Executive Summary

The University of South Australia is an innovative modern institution that aspires global impact and reaches. Its annual budget exceeds $A400M and ha four campuses. UniSA has an extensive wireless network that covers all four campuses. As part of this network, a large amount of data usage is generated; if these data were to be combined, interesting issues could be determined.

2.0 Problem Statement

Due to the large wireless network covering all the four campuses, an extensive amount of data is generated. However, this data cannot be used alone; we can combine various sources and to some amazing things with this data. One of the things that this data can be used with is solving an emergency crisis.

3.0 Proposed Solution

this is a  proposed solution for a prototype of a mobile internet resource system that would be used for tracking devices in case of an emergency. The data that will be utilized if available from network devices that are connected to the wireless network that is connected throughout Jeffrey building. Since the device type is shown, the program of study and identification of the student, it is easier to locate each student. This is even more possible since the students will be continuously connected through the various access point of the wireless network. The mobile devices can then be traced at any time.

Transfer of data will be done through databases and mobile devices. Data is protected via an encrypted, remote network. This will enhance the fast retrieval of information in case of any critical situation. An emergency that occurs in the building such as fire will, therefore have a fast response time. The key players of this proposed system will be students residing in the building and emergency response team.

3.1 Methodology

The system will use mobile internet resource to track devices connected to the wireless network in case of an emergency. The system has two main components:

The mobile devices database will continually update information; hence the emergency response team will have a location for everyone. There are various categories for the devices connected which have access to the web browser. In this case, this information will be used by REST applications.  Since it is a continuous process, an incremental method will be applicable.

3.2 Qualifications

I have the required qualifications for this solution. I have experience in big data, and I can efficiently analyze the complete information for a web application. Besides, I am proficient with web applications, and I can design a suitable application for this institution.

3.3 Schedules and Benchmarks

Phase Completion Date Activities
Requirement Analysis  2  Weeks Determine requirements
Design One month Design  the prototype
Development  and Testing Three months Built and bug removal
Implementation Two weeks Launch
Documentation and evaluation One month Analyze the system further.

4.3 Legal matters

Since there is a lot of security access needed in this process, licensing and permitted by law will be required so that to ensure that there is no security breach of users

4.4 Benefits

Since there are internet connectivity and accessibility, this system will offer ubiquitous information and thereby provision of time-sensitive information. With this information, the system will greatly reduce the emergency crisis.
