The case study being focused in this paper is the sales representatives in a sales company which has recruited new employees and must undergo development and coaching in order to start their job. In employee development and coaching there are different steps that need to be followed in order to makes sure that all recruited employees are well coached. The steps set in this sale representative development and coaching namely:
- Create awareness. Firstly, the coaches should create a great awareness to the employees on the requirement of the job and raise awareness on the skills, disciplines and what the job entails.
- The coaches should be able to listen to the ideas the employees have and take them in to considerations. Besides, the coaches and trainers should listen to the demands and needs of the employee being developed and coached.
- Plan and set goals. After creating awareness and listening to the employee needs and demands the coaches should be able to plan on the working schedule and set goals for each employee for them to work targeting the goals, they have set for the duration they will be working in the company.
- Manage progress and accountability. After being initiated in the job the coaches should be able to manage the progress of the employees during the job and be accountable for their progress during their working period.
