Entertainment tastes
Miley was a perfect demonstration that the high-low cultural hierarchy has adverse effects and is not suitable compared to the cultural mapping with various dimensions. In that line, I believe some a ‘guilty pleasure’ that I am addicted to is watching cartoons, SpongeBob SquarePants particularly. Universally, it is good taste but not for people my age. As for music, I listen to anything that uplifts my soul, regardless of whether it’s good taste culturally. Frankly, America has poor taste. To them, hip-hop is the best taste of music, which I believe contributes to the high crime rates. Conversely, China is tasteful in all its cultural products, including music.
