Evaluation Essay
From school to college, several teachers taught us how to get good grades in class. The word teacher seems very common, but the role a teacher plays is not common. He/she is a builder of every nation, who teaches children’s – future generation of every country. What we all are today is because of our teachers. Throughout my academic year, I was not lucky enough to have good teachers. In school, teachers were there to spend their paid time. They do not teach us as their responsibility but as their daily hustle. When a teacher thinks that teaching is his/her is not just their job, but it is their responsibility to shape the future of students in a meaningful way.
After school, when I entered college, I didn’t expect that here I will get a real mentor for my whole life. It takes time to understand the attitudes of our teachers. My English instructor in the second semester, he was a great personality, and a positive figure is the one who turned the whole direction of my life. Because of his teachings, my perception of life has changed. At the start, I faced difficulties in lectures and once I shared this with him. He politely offered me an extra hour class that would help me to understand the course material easily. I accepted his offer and started taking an extra hour class with him. That one hour has proved a golden hour of my life.
His teaching method was unique because instead of spoon-feeding, he always wants his students to search for the solution. This teaching method helps the whole class to understand finding solutions on their own. His teaching style was much helpful that help us today in real life. For example, the way we searched for the answer to a specific problem in the class is today useful in real life to solve the real problem by thinking about the solution.
He was an ideal teacher because he makes a difference in my life. By putting his vision and wisdom in all students, he helped us to see the world in a positive and empathetic way. Before him, I always think that teachers favour few children’s that accept their orders and work for them – because I experienced this thing in school and some in teachers in college too. Instead of relying on the bookish lesson, he taught us a real-life lesson and prepared us to stand in the world. Although he was an English professor, he taught us to stand against real-life challenges. He is a man of characters and contains several sterling qualities that make him different from other teachers at the campus. The teachers helped us to understand and develop self-esteem, self-respect and a great character that never accept failures. My life was not much disciplined and organized before contact with the teacher. But after copying his style and teachings, I learned to be organized and consistent about my life goals. This is all because of his teachings and truthfulness towards his profession.
