In research, experimental and observational approaches are critical in studying how variables of interest relate to each other and inform the management’s decision to optimize an organization’s operations. I concur with the colleague that investigation on AGILE software development methodology’s success, observing its relationship with IT governance, enterprise architecture, and software architecture are critical. The formulated hypotheses and research question also conform to the needs for correlation tests and evaluation. As the colleague and other colleagues have identified, I agree that correlation analysis does not imply causal relationships between variables (Laureate Education, 2013c). But the strength and sign of the correlation coefficients are critical in showing relationships in bivariate variables and hence an idea on how the success of AGILE adoption.
