EXSC 455 Research and Analysis Assignment #1: Reviewing the Literature Purpose: To identify, understand, and critically review scientific, peer-reviewed research. Deadline: Friday 4th October, 2019 at the beginning of class. 1.5 points will be deducted for each day the assignment is late. Assignment Instructions: Using PubMed, ScienceDirect, or SPORTDiscus, you will find one (1) original research article from a peer-reviewed, scientific journal that is of interest to you. For the research article, you will provide the full reference in APA 6th edition reference format, as well as the link to the full text, and you will answer the following questions in your own words. Note that copying the text from the article is not considered writing in your own words and is considered plagiarism. Submission Instructions: This assignment will be submitted as a hard copy by Friday 4th October at 5:00 am. No assignments will be accepted via email or otherwise. All assignments should be typed, 1.5 line-spacing, 0.5” margins, and Times New Roman 11-point font with no exceptions. A 10% deduction will be made for any assignments not adhering to these guidelines. Grading: A maximum of 15 points will be awarded with the breakdown of points outlined in each of the questions.
