Free Trade
Free trade is a trade policy that does not restrict importation or exportation of goods in a country. Free trade can be of great importance to a country in terms of economy. On account of free trade, the consumers of different countries can get the best quality if foreign goods and often of a broader range of choices at a low cost. International trade also permits industries to take advantage of the economies on a large scale. For instance, if one sector produces goods for the home market only, it will be impossible to achieve the full advantage of large scale production. Therefore, free trade increases the world production and consumption for the goods that are internationally traded at a lower price.
Although free trade can be of benefit to a country, it can also bring adverse effects to a country. As the nation may depend too much on the goods from foreign countries, the outbreak of war may negatively affect their economy (Irwin,2020). For instance, during the Gulf war that occurred in 1991, the economy in the Gulf countries was affected as America refused to sell its products.
Business Growth Influx
There are various ways in which I would prepare for the culture of a different country, which is different from that of my original country in many ways. I would start by researching the culture of a different country before traveling. The culture affects leadership skills, and it determines whether the leadership would succeed or fail. The research would help in adapting the cultural differences.
To avoid confusion, I would seek information from trusted sources like other managers working in that particular country. The information provided will help in adapting to the different cultures, and as a manager, it will help in choosing a leadership style that would respect the culture of the country.
One of the responsibilities that I would expect as a multi-international manager is ensuring the objectives set by the organization are implemented. This responsibility means that I would be overseeing all the projects being undertaken by the organization and provide the projects correspond to the overall organizational objectives (Vlajčić et al., 2019). Also, as a multi-international manager, I would ensure that the cultural differences do not affect the overall performance in the organization negatively.
There are different laws and cultures in different countries. As a manager in a different country, my responsibility would change in such a way that my crucial responsibility would be to ensure that the organization would not go against the set laws and regulations of the foreign country.
