Nurses’ burnout matter is a big challenge in the health sector, which calls for immediate address (Panagioti, Geraghty, Johnson, Zhou, Panagopoulou, Chew-Graham & Esmail, 2018).
The main problem associates with nursing burnout, as revealed in the system review, relate to a poor working environment for health practitioners.
Panagioti et al. (2018), suggests that health facility leaders should invest more in creating favourable working environments, especially concerning the transition of nurses in their early career years.
Health leaders should focus more on improving institutions culture, such as support transition of low experience nurses and generally promote staff wellness. As a result, they will boost nursing students’ morale to work hard and remain at their specialization.
Nurses work in the frontline. They take care of patients before, and after physicians attend to them. Hence, their issues (burnout) should be addressed to avoid confusions or medication errors.
The nursing profession is a critical area in the health sector. The issue was identified through interviews with nurses/students after reporting increased medication errors, which reduced patient care quality. Besides, the issue targets the organization leaders since they have the power to solve the problem at hand.
Leaders should improve staff well-being as well as improve the working environment
Health managers should facilitate friendly interaction of all staffs regardless of diversity so that the more experienced staff can mentor the early-career practitioners (Panagioti et al. 2018)
The project will use technology to retrieve data such as recruitments records as well as electronically store the findings.
Workers’ diversity should be considered so that every person’s differences are respected, such as staff skills level.
The intervention should improve transition practices which in return will improve staff morale, and increases patients outcome. The measurable outcome will be reduced cases of medication errors
The finding will be published and use the technology to ensure it reaches the health leaders/managers in an effective and efficient manner
