Themes and Examples [Provide a brief explanation for each]
The Bible is the word of God; the entire New Testament is made of 27 different books written by other authors for other purposes and intentions as they were led by the holy spirit. Therefore, having these different books means that the New Testament consists of many different themes. In this section of the paper, the paper provides a brief description of some of the Themes that seem central in the New Testament. Some of these themes include the following:
Discipleship– This is one of the central themes in the New Testament. A disciple is a student who follows the teachings of a leader. The disciples of Jesus Christ were considered his students and were expected to follow his instructions and spread the gospel. They are expected to follow some basic ethical guidelines such as communal responsibility; this is still practiced by the Christians until now because the Christians are considered the followers of Jesus Christ.
The Second Coming of Jesus-These theme is talked about across various books of the New Testament, such as Mathew, Mark, the Revelation. It gives an account of the second coming of the resurrected Jesus Christ to Judge the human race.
Salvation– This is another central theme in the New Testament. It refers to being saved from the difficulties of the earth, diseases, demonic possession as well as healing; this is achieved through healings as well as exorcisms. It generally indicates salvation from sin and is preserved for Jesus.
In this regard, therefore, the themes in the New Testaments seem to revolve around the birth as well as the early years of Jesus, the ministry of Jesus Christ, the death of Jesus, the resurrection as well as the ascension of Jesus, together with the development, formation as well as the future of the Church.
