HEALTH CARE DELIVERY SYSTEM IN THE UNITED STATES
Introduction
Health care delivery systems are a method by which healthcare is organized, financed and finally delivered to a population. It includes issues of access (who and which services), expenditures and resources (healthcare personnel and facilities). This paper needs views on the concepts and structures related to the health system sector. The United States is one of the developed countries in the world, having structures that are uniquely run and different from other health systems in the world.
The health care providers and professionals are essential in the delivery of health services and offering care to patients in the country. They, therefore, do this in the assistance of medical technology which has helped in the new interventions on how to handle issues in the healthcare facilities. Health providers and professionals like the nurses, dentists, physicians, pharmacists all depend on medical technology for more knowledge and to also ease their work. The manufacture of new machines in health facilities has made them enjoy their job without tiring. Besides, due to the production of new drugs, they have led to the stabilization of chronic diseases, longevity on life expectancy, reduction of health complications and increased living conditions.
My Opinion
In my view, healthcare delivery in the United States has improved due to high medical technology and cooperation from the health care providers who work together. This has made medical services expensive and limited access by all the individuals. This is a reason why the United States has never achieved universal healthcare because they depend on growing technology without even minding the low-class people who can’t afford the medical services. All the gaps should be flattened by equally distributing all the available resources (insurance for medical health care) and providing preventive services to be done in the country to avoid diseases and health complications.
Conclusion
In conclusion, health care delivery in America is unique and developed, which lacks universal health care access. This is due to the high costs of medical services and limited access to health facilities.
Then, if all Americans don’t enjoy the universal healthcare in the United States, how do people of the low income manage to get the medical services? And what do you think can be done to cover all the individuals in the country?
