Healthy eating
Children can become obese due to genetic factors, lack of exercise, and unhealthy eating habits. A child with genetic conditions that increases the chances of becoming obese can be tested to confirm where the blood is extracted. The child can improve eating habits and exercise regularly to cut on weight. Secondly, the child can visit a doctor with the parent to be advised or treated to protect him or her from increasing the weight. Prevention is better, therefore, because it is a genetic condition, a doctor can get the history of the family to establish the growth chart, which will help to know the unhealthy range of the child. I will listen from the parents if they have a history of overweight in their lineage to help understand if it is genetic or poor eating habits. Obesity should be controlled at a young age to prevent cases of depression, diabetes, and other risk healthy factors that might not be controlled or managed.
Healthy eating is vital for every student. Explaining to students the benefits of eating healthier foods is essential, where they will understand that it will promote their growth and development. Nonetheless, having the student understand the adverse effects of unhealthy eating, such as obesity and other health complications. Healthy eating reduces mental health problems and can take control of their physical and psychological fitness. A balanced diet is essential to boost one’s immunity, where all the required nutrients are taken in reasonable quantities.
Healthy eating should not be complicated, and they should be influenced by peer pressure or TV adverts that promote unhealthy junk foods. Nonetheless, the student can propose a simple menu to the parent or guardian that allows balanced meals packed to them to carry to school or eat at home. A student who has not been eating can be encouraged to change the habit slowly but sure because switching to a different pattern may not be easy. Making small changes at a time is advisable or recommended. As a teacher, I will advise the student to avoid processed foods, and a lot of sugars are necessary to be healthier and improve on the mood. The type of food a student eats influences academic performance; therefore, balanced diet meals will increase the cognitive capacity. With this in mind, the student can easily and comfortably change and eat healthy.
