History regarding international relations
History regarding international relations indicates that since ancient times it has been evolved towards the current dimensions, as well as modern forms. Notably, all the contemporary forms of international relations are accompanied to a different degree by negotiations, whether in the form of formalized rounds or secret bargaining in the system of international structures.
The article defines negotiations as a process of multilateral or bilateral communication with the aim of meeting the agreement in case of a situation where one part of the side’s interests is contradictory, and the other part is consistent. It is indicated that negotiations are crucial to international relations, and they are considered as an alternative to unilateral action or force. Following this perspective, it can be noted that negotiations involve the exchange of information between autonomous but interdependent actors.
This article is purposely published to demonstrate the significance of international negotiations following the context of alternations that currently happen in international relations. Besides, this study is separated into sections that present the qualitative changes in the establishment and deepening of international relations. It is portrayed that various actors of international politics refer to negotiations as a means of addressing international disputes, as well as conflicts.
The article also discusses the different processes of negotiations, including the diagnostic stage, formula stage, and detail stage. It is also stated that these phases follow a specific criterion, which is agenda setting, policy analysis, formulation, implementation, and evaluation. To summarize, the article act as a basic premise of presenting the interdependency between the evolution of international relations and negotiations.
