How to deal with anger issues?

Anger is an emotion we use to express our feelings when we are hurt, sad, or angry. It is healthy when you need to put out whatever is bothering you but there comes a certain point where it feels like anger is controlling you. I am a person who gets angry very often, and it’s usually wrong, and after everything happens, I feel awful for what I said or did because I didn’t mean it, and I was under controlled by my anger. I’ll share with you guys things that I do when I’m furious.

  1. Drink plenty of water, it helps so much, and I do this all the time. Whenever you’re angry don’t say anything and drink water, you will feel that it is calming you down, and you’ll probably cry after that (I do this)—drinking water when angry is sunnah as well.

  1. Avoid situations where you think you’ll not be able to hold your anger and it might hurt someone. When you take some time for yourself, you’ll feel a lot better, and you can even better judge your actions.

  1. Take deep breaths. It will help you get fresh air and give your mind some peace. Abrupt reactions are most hurtful, and you regret them later on. Once you see a clearer picture it’s easy for you to act accordingly.

  1. If you think that your anger issues have gone way too far, there’s always an option to seek help. You can talk it out with your friends, family, and even a professional therapist.
