Human beings are said to be insatiable.

The doctrine requires Christians always to show gratitude, however small it may be. one achieves gratitude when they accept every situation as it is. Also, one has to admit satisfaction, however small it may be. Finally, one should show appreciation. Even though some people are full of ego, they should acknowledge that words like ‘thank you’ can positively impact their lives. Gratitude can motivate your helper to help you more. Moreover, it does not cost anything to say, ‘I am sorry. Gratitude enables one to refrain from jealousy and greed.

I practiced gratitude when one of my church members, Miss Mitchell, volunteered to pay for my school fees for the whole term. The church member had a choice to pay for other needy students but instead decided to help me. I had a fantastic experience after showing gratitude. She did not only offered to clear the remaining balance but also settled my brother’s medical bill. It requires the grace of God to show gratitude. I will always practice gratitude since it costs one nothing but has impressive fruits. Gratitude has made me always be contented with what I have hence given me a happier, healthier, and stress-free life.

Karl Barth’s quote in joy by Beverly Elaine Eanes states that joy is the simplest form of gratitude. Some circumstances may be challenging, but when you are joyous, everything falls in place, and one feels some ease.

Marcia Z. Nelson, in her book, describes Oprah Winfrey’s act of gratitude in all her shows. She acknowledges the presence of everyone and thanks to them. The resource has helped me understand that gratitude helps one grow spiritually and become generous.

To conclude, gratitude is a virtue that everyone should embrace.
