Hunger for Fur

As a result of the ever-raising fashion needs and trends, fur has been widely used in designing clothes. The vast fashion market has been a significant influence on the amount of fur needed for the fashion industry. Due to the current dressing among celebrities, who act as trendsetters and are considered fashion icons, the constant use of fur made fabrics, the need for coat has intensified all through the world market. The extensive market increases the demand for more wool. The big question that always goes unanswered or never asked is, where does all this fur come from? The truth of the matter is several animals lose their lives to please this inconsiderate generation that only cares about their needs. Before going to the extent of rocking outfits made from fur, it is always fair to reflect and ask yourself whether the poor animal deserved the brutal act to serve your fashion desires.

In the “International policies to reduce plastic marine pollution from single-use plastics (plastic bags and microbeads): a review. Marine pollution bulletin, 118(1-2), 17-26.” Xanthos, D., & Walker, T. R. (2017). Several issues require some addressing, especially those that justify why we shouldn’t kill these animals. The designing of clothes by use of fur has brought more harm to the environment than it has advantages. One such demerit is the harm that occurs to other animals that don’t target. The traps that are set on the forests can entrap any animal as long as it is within the size of the target. It ends up causing injury or even death to these animals. The obscene act keeps on robbing us of the animals, which might lead to extinction or minimal numbers of those animals. Imagine the world with no wildlife? This mistake should soon get rectified to avoid regrets in the future. If the trend continues, there is a probability that future generations might not enjoy the beauty provided to us by nature. The fur industry doesn’t only harm the environment in terms of numbers but also pollutes the environment. During the harvesting of fur, there is a lot of waste materials that get dumped carelessly within the environment. Most of them are not biodegradable such as plastics, which end up polluting the water masses as well as the air if burnt. This form of pollution can cause serious health issues or even endanger aquatic life. It would cause a lot of instability within the ecosystems as every single of the animals’ matters within a population to put in check several factors.

It suggests that the release of non-biodegradable material in the water sources can lead to the extinction of marine life. The source employed some bias since it aims at reducing the pollution of our water bodies by the use of plastic. Given it was done in 2017, which is just three years ago, it had up to date facts, which increases its efficiency and is even more convincing. The facts are well phrased and arranged in order of their weight to allow for the reader’s reflection as they read them. It is very effective as it sinks in the mind of the reader; they are more likely to help in fighting the matter at hand. Since it was done by environment conservation champions, I used all the facts as they were very relevant in my persuasion as they made clear and very compelling arguments.

According to Roos, S. (2016). “Advancing life cycle assessment of textile products to include textile chemicals. Inventory data and toxicity impact assessment. The Chalmers University of Technology.” Despite the pollution from the waste product of harvesting, fur refining factories play a considerable role in air pollution. Industries, as it has been established, are by far the highest producers of carbon gases as well as the release of carbon gases. It affects weather patterns, which in turn affect productivity. With reduced productivity, there is no guaranteed food security, which may lead to hunger and famine. The CFCs released into the atmosphere are very dangerous to human health. They can cause severe respiratory diseases, which might lead to death or the development of chronic illness within the population. The constant interaction between animals and human beings may lead to the emergence of zoonotic diseases, which might be very expensive to treat or even control. Such illness might wipe up half of the world’s population as they are new to science, and to get them under control, it will require a lot of resources as well as investment in time. The fur production process does a lot of harm to both the environment and the people. It is, therefore, a practice that should be done away with to try to mitigate its adverse effects before they materialize.

The refining of fur causes very adverse effects on the environment, which might lead to complications as well as harm to human beings. The source is very reliable as it was done by an institution of higher learning with no affiliation to any of the two conflicting enterprises. It is a very recent composition with a lot of elaborated facts about the pollution caused by the production of fur. My main concern about the different effects of production was on air pollution, which causes the greatest of human respiratory complications. I took the ideas and facts which carried a lot of weight and sounded more persuasive as compared to others.

In the previous assignment, the facts were well stated as well as very compelling arguments were made. I would, however, have wished to bring out the aspect of environmental pollution in a better way as I felt it hard a lot of weight in terms of the facts that have already been proven by experts. It was a good essay as anyone could decipher the main idea in the whole script, as shown below. Humans should stop being self-centered and take care of other inhabitants of our motherland earth. The use of fur as a fashion tool will bring with it a high cost that earth isn’t ready to pay. As long as the people put their interests first, there will always be a human-animal conflict that might even get uglier if these trends continue. The use of fur doesn’t only put the targeted animals on the verge of extinction but also puts the human race at a significantly huge danger in terms of their health. With the adverse effects on the environment by the constant use of fur, the world might turn inhabitable if strict measures aren’t put in place. Let us say no to use of fur and save the world.
