Even though a federal law that protects pregnant women in workstations has been passed, however, pregnancy discrimination persists making in many regions today. The Act restricts employers from firing pregnant women; instead, it is the employer’s responsibility to give such women maternity leave and respect their rights. However, most women don’t understand these rights and are often mistreated by their employers during pregnancy times. Thus, it becomes crucial for all women to understand their rights and confront pregnancy discrimination.
The concept of pregnancy discrimination and women knowing their rights matter most. Women face numerous issues in society today despite them being the family’s backbone. Therefore, it is vital to respect and protect their rights and avoid discriminating against them during pregnancy to bring up a whole generation and a better society.
The article focuses on the rights of pregnant women. The widespread problem of firing women during maternity leave and hiring other workers to replace them forever has posed a significant threat among feminists today. Some organization does not give women enough maternity leave, thus, affecting the pregnancy and endangering the health conditions of the women. Therefore, this article focuses specifically on women’s rights and the challenges they face in our society today. I chose this article because it addresses the discriminating rights of pregnant women, despite the government enacting laws that protect this vulnerable group.
The importance of this article cannot be undermined; therefore, it is crucial that all people know about the event and how it’s impacting the world both locally and globally. The women who don’t understand their rights on pregnancy suffer from discrimination and mistreatment from their companies. For decades now, women have been undermined and criticized in politics. Women that have risen into high political positions have been assassinated, thus, developing fear among women. This has left men to dominate most political positions and make decisions that are meant to suppress women aspiring to become political leaders.
The concept of inclusive leadership in politics is vital in ensuring equality of gender representation in the country’s politics. Nations that discriminate against women in leadership expose their female gender into several unresolved challenges. Therefore, when women are in leadership, they raise the voice of the challenges facing women in society, thus making the nations to address and minimize such problems.
The article focuses on Lebanon; a Saudi princess often spoke her mind to the world, and voicing support for a constitutional monarchy was arrested and detained. Governments have undermined and mistreated women who raise their voices against harsh political opinions that undermine their rights and freedom. She says I was abducted without explanation together with one of my daughters and thrown into prison.” The article focuses on women’s participation in politics and how they suffer rejection while raising their views. I chose the article to show the brutality and atrocities faced by women in politics.
The article is essential because it identifies how the government mistreats women in politics. Also, the article gives an insight into the roles played by women while in politics. People should learn about the importance of women participating in politics as it helps in fair representation of everyone’s issues. Women participating in politics gain knowledge, which is essential in protecting the rights and freedoms of other women. Lastly, laws should be enacted to protect women in politics and facilitate them to rise into a high political position, thus transforming the society both locally and globally.
