Imagine a scenario where you have hired a person to do some cleaning in your house, and when you return, you find that they did not clean the house, but instead, they painted the rooftop. What can be your immediate reactions? Perhaps bitter. You might have planned to give the person a bigger and better job, but after seeing the results, they have produced you end up declining. This does not make you evil and heartless person because you are not impressed by their outcome. If you are unable, to be honest with simple instructions and simple things, then automatically, it won’t be easy, to be frank with big things in life. Most people miss significant opportunities in life simply because they were unable, to be honest with small breaks in life.
The same case applies to job seekers with impressive qualifications and certificates. Most of them do a specific job poorly merely because they are seeking a higher and better job. This is unethical because, if you are unable, to be honest with the small job, then the universe will no give you an opportunity of your dreams. The parable teaches us about the Kingdom of God and what is required of us when we are on earth. God has given every one of using a talent, time, and diverse capabilities. Most people are aware of their abilities, but they misuse then when they get fame and popularity. For instance, some celebrities started very low, but once they acquired a reputation, they ended up abusing their talents by imagining in malicious activities.
God expects us to utilize our time and capabilities to please Him to acquire His Kingdom and receive and eternal life. I f we misuse His blessings the will not be able to have everlasting life. I f you are entrusted with riches when on earth, you should use your money to do things that please God, and you will have a place in His Kingdom. There are many ways in which you can utilize your riches to please God. First, you can use your wealth to help the less fortunate people in the community. Also, you can engage in charity work by donating things to help the needy. You can use your position in society to campaign for the right of the poor people and those who are mishandled.
Nonetheless, the parable teaches us that we should show gratitude in every situation we are in. Some people are never grateful for small things in life; hence they keep on complaining all the time. If you are not thankful for little things in life, there is no way you can appreciate big things. In short, you will never be contented. God loves contended people who show gratitude in small achievements because it is clear that they can manage bigger things too.
Consequently, the parable is related to the parable of the master and the three servants who were given different talents. The first servants were given more ability on top of what he had because he was able, to be honest with small things.
