The relocation of people from their country to live in another is referred to as emigration. People have various reasons for relocating. Others move for a better lifestyle, while some relocate to look for employment. Hence, a person can emigrate from their native country to move to another country (Robinson et al., 2020, 15). There are positive and negative effects of emigration on the country involved depending on its economic state. Therefore, the paper seeks to discuss the impacts of emigration on the country involved.

Economic impacts.

A report by the united states economic council shows that emigration improves American wages through complementary productions.  The immigrant population has a large group of workers who do not have a high school education. Therefore, there is the fulfillment of the unskilled workers and the highly-skilled, increasing productivity. Thus the wages of the native laborers who own the human and physical capital will increase. However, there is competition between the native-born laborers. They are unskilled, with the immigrants leading to the natives getting low wages since they can work for fewer wages.

Emigration leads to an increase in labor supply and greater consumption as the population grows, leading to economic growth. Having relatively cheap unskilled workers leads to business growth without necessarily moving the business. A large population and increased production increase the consumption that every American can take part in because an increase in production leads to an increase in various goods.

In China, migrants laborers usually work for long hours under conditions that are not safe, without labor contract benefits and protection from the institution. Research from the project survey showed that most immigrants in china work for seven days every week. The workers are also vulnerable to injuries leading to deaths since they cannot afford medical insurance’s legal requirements.

Recently, protection for immigrant workers has improved. The people’s congress came up with a contract law that protects the migrants. The report also shows that immigrants have started to win court battles for injuries at the workplace, unpaid wages, and compensations. Nevertheless, discrimination at workplaces and mistreatments remains the same throughout China.

Social impacts

From the start of the formation of the united states, immigration from all over the world, there has been an introduction of new culture and customs and helped improve the united states’ society. The country is still affected mainly by immigrants from Europe. The religious system of the European has been the influence of the values of the united states. The united states’ history has been plagued have racism, and it is believed to exist up to date. From immigrants from all over the world, the natives of the country have been known for discriminating against other specific groups, especially if they have a detrimental impact on the livelihood of the natives (Facchini et al., 2018, 67). Hopefully, the act of racism will stop as an exchange of culture and integration continue to spread, and beneficial principles are added to Americans’ culture.

In China, the more significant population offers labor resources to the areas at the coast where there are high economic activities. Still, although labor productivity in the activities of migrants is higher, the economic cost of immigration in china is high as to limit the reallocation. The system is working to reduce the general productivity of labor and leads to tremendous social resources loss. Research indicates that the economic theory shows the migration of labor to efficiency increase because of the reallocation of labor. The cost of migration mitigates gains in Hukou’s system, which results in social and financial losses.

Education

Emigration greatly influences education. It creates programs for the English language and programs for a resource to make sure the immigrants’ acclimations into the school and community. It means that the cost of public education has increased because of emigration.Still, the immigrants are also adding value to the awareness of the culture of the American native by being exposed to other students from all over the world. The native language barrier has been a challenge for the immigrant students to adapt and has resulted in their isolation  in schools (Birhanu, A. 2019,55). Research shows that hardship in acquiring a second language in a country has led to an impact on students’ personality development, emotions, and morality. There has been a significant improvement in the education system of the united states.

Emigration also impacts education on the tertiary level in the united states as many of the talented people from the world come to schools in the united states, making the schools retain their status as the best learning institutions.  Since the 1960s, the number of international students keeps increasing, and the united states are currently the leading largest country with international students in the whole globe. However, the number has been dropping due to competition from other developed countries. The United States is also falling behind the back because of emigration restrictions due to the terrorist attack that occurred in 2001 September.

According to research done in China, migration has a negative effect on students due to capital social loss in schools, communities, and neighborhoods. Migrant students can learn in public schools in urban, but they are limited to access the schools. The main reason is that the education budget for compulsory education is given through the local government and strictly given to the local people.

Gender

Migration to China has brought many essential effects regarding gender equality. After migration, the female immigrants are disadvantaged in the labor market because of their immigrant status (Naudé 2017,15). Despite the challenges they go through in china, migration has enabled female immigrants to benefit from the economic opportunities and gave them the freedom that not provided at their origin.

Crime

A report from researchers has shown that immigrants have taken part less in crime than native Americans. It has also been shown that illegal immigrants rarely engage in crime due to their being deported. Unfortunately, gangs from streets involved from particular groups of immigrants are widespread across the country, but most of them are Hispanic. These people associate themselves with a crime because of their inability of these people are not welcomed in America’s communities; thus, they do not understand the need to assimilate themselves into the society of the united states (Butler, M.J. and Dolan 2017, 1530). The people only feel safe with each other, so they create antisocial gangs whose aim is to develop themselves as dominant in a specific area, leading to arguments with the peaceful community. The gangs prove the formation of the policy efforts to make assimilation in the united states smoother so prevent such gangs from forming.

Political impacts

The politicians have argued whether to grants illegal immigrants citizenship or not. People argue that it is right not to grant illegal immigrants citizenship by amnesty since there is a legal procedure t. There is a restriction of immigration because they want to proportionately expand infrastructure with the population. Another argument from the politicians is that the immigrants are taking jobs from the native people. The public also argues that the immigrants have contributed to the economic and cultural decline (Sanchez and Natividad, 2017, 70). The decline includes the decrease of the native laborers’ wages and social norms breakdown.

Illegal emigration

According to statistics in china, the number of Africans who went there illegally keeps increasing every year. Illegal immigration has led the local communities to be angered because of the rumors of increased crime, including drugs, rabe, robbery, and fraud done by the immigrants. In the united states, it is an issue as the policy creators have been arguing how they can reduce illegal immigration. There has been a debate to grant citizenship and prevent illegal immigration though the main problem has been noticed in enforcement.  The department for enforcement in the united states has a problem since the workers cannot deal with the illegal problem. The majority of the illegal immigrants come from Mexico because they share a border, and they have a lot to benefit from migrating from their country (Flores 2018, 1640). The united states do not have security to guard at the border to prevent immigrants from coming in. other foreign immigrants have made it to the united states through smuggling by freight boats from furthest places like East Asia. This issue should be taken care of by both sides of the border because the people smuggling illegal immigrants are becoming prevalent.

In conclusion, the evidence shows that as the united states’ population increases, the economy continues to improve as a result. Measures must be put into place that provide undocumented immigrants in the united states with a way to citizenship. In China, even if population growth due to emigration is the cause of diseases, progress in technology and management needs to be improved to prevent the diseases. Reducing the growth of the population by policies of discrimination will only cause more social problems.
