Importance of Punctuality in the Army.
Why it is important to be early and not late in the army.
Punctuality in the military means being somewhere needed at the right time, punctuality in the military is considered doing the right thing. One’s professionalism is seen in the readiness of the person. The army has many goals and to achieve the goals, and one must be there when needed. The perception of any soldier is how the soldier carries out himself or herself in the military camp or any assignment (Nelson, Menzel, & Horoho, 2017). A soldier always needs to appear ready at all times, and the soldier’s readiness is measured by how often the soldier is punctual in the assignments given.
Soldiers need to be treated equally, and no soldier should be given any special attention. The delay of any soldier to report or do an assignment should be taken with the seriousness it deserves (Pulantara, Parmanto, & Germain, 2018). Take an example of what happens when all the soldiers get late in their assignments. This will mean that the duties of the army will be delayed.
Punctuality needs to be an attribute of any soldier in the military. This attribute makes one complete his or her duties in a good time. Delay in the performance of any responsibility in the military has a repercussion (Sarah et al. 2019). To show respect in the army, one needs always to be punctual. Lateness shows a lack of honor in the military.
Enthusiasm is shown when one reports on duty at the right time. The zeal to do your task is seen in the excitement that one has when doing their duty. Lateness is a sign of a pure lack of desire to work on what you have been given to do. Delay will result in a soldier running behind in all the duties assigned to him or her.
For a soldier to keep track of his or her time, and duties, the soldier must be punctual. The core functions of the military are coded in the punctuality of a soldier to the responsibilities.
One of the military training is on keeping time. Being punctual is not just one of the necessary training, but it is a training that the soldiers will remember all their lives as long as they are still soldiers (Nelson, Menzel, & Horoho, 2017). The military places a high level of respect on time and punctuality; hence the soldiers should always work on time management. Develop an attitude that punctuality is essential, and therefore a soldier needs to make it a habit.
