Thesis statement: Social media helps businesses hire employees by attracting many employees, getting the most suitable candidate, differentiating job positions, and necessitates the growth of small businesses.
Introduction
Social media networks have significantly increased for the past few years, with the number of users growing too. Most businesses have turned to these social networks to carry out various processes like recruiting employees or other activities like advertising. The trend of using these social networks makes the recruitment process easy for both recruiters and the employees. All these networks reveal. The profiles used in social media networks describe a candidate in a better way. All patterns reflect what is in their resumes, so a company can tell whether a candidate fits their company. Social networks have played another critical role of marketing the companies or businesses. Most applicants seek jobs in those specific companies due to the perfect image they display on social networks. These images, too, draw most passive employees and other employees who might find these businesses suitable and favorable. Social media helps companies hire employees by; attracting many employees, getting the most suitable candidate, differentiating 3job positions, and necessitates the growth of small businesses.

First, social media helps in attracting employees. Through these networks, businesses can display their profiles and activities. They can sell their services, their job schedules to all willing employees. Social media exposes these elements to all employees and consumers interested in the presented businesses. And social media is amazing for that.” Luttrell encourages most businesses to use social media to display what they have to offer. By so doing, these businesses tend to obtain more employees willing to work with the same company. Some of the things that can draw most employees’ attention are factors like suitable work schedules and routines. Secondly, social media helps a company in getting the most suitable candidate or employees. Social networks such as Facebook can help in getting relevant details of the applicants. For instance, most people add their educational background, experience, and current engagements on Facebook. Job recruiters can match the information posted on social media by the employees or candidates to their job resumes through these elements. This activity does not involve exploring a candidate’s activities or interactions on social media. Apart from educational background, they can examine their current place of work, their hometown, and even where they live in. These social networks have helped employees ensure that the details in the resume of a candidate are perfect by matching it with their Facebook profile.
Thirdly, social media helps in differentiating different job positions to the candidates. Unlike social media platforms, support in various areas advertised in a business. For instance, platforms like Linked in can be used to advertise and recruit professionals while other platforms like Facebook and Twitter can be used when hiring non-professionals. Luttrell says, “The social media you use to promote your work can vary based on the users for each platform. And the kinds of positions you are trying to recruit for. For professional positions, LinkedIn is a good fit”. Professional jobs require accurate details of the applicants, and LinkedIn helps obtain the exact details since it’s a little bit more strict and precise compared to other platforms. This social media network provides full details of a candidate and displays the skills and all capabilities of candidates. Again, it gives a brief resume, personal statement, or introduction of the applicant and job application. Compared to Facebook, this social network provides more details.
Fourthly, the social network helps small firms or businesses to grow. Small firms tend to use some of these networks with of making their businesses grow. The best way used in this process is using the relevant channels. This quote makes it clear to small firms, “If your company is just getting started, with recruiting on social media, Luttrell does not recommend trying to use every channel at first.” Small businesses should use specific and relevant channels for its gradual change or growth. For instance, they can start recruiting their employees through networks like Facebook before moving to more significant, and more accurate systems link Linked In. In conclusion, social media plays a critical role in business; it ensures that they have as many employees as possible; they get the perfect candidates; businesses advertise positions accordingly. They enhance the growth of small businesses. Although most companies have embraced the use of social media in the recruitment process, other companies have not yet thought of using this tool. Therefore, having learned the importance of these social networks in all businesses ought to embrace these methods to save time and interact freely with the details of their candidates before recruiting them.
