Introduction

The development of intercultural communication is necessary for managing cultural aspects and developing suitable ethics in society. The study provides an in-depth analysis of evaluating cultural similarities and differences by conducting interviews of myself living in India and my colleague living in Australia. It focuses on assessing various aspects of the two countries’ cultural beliefs by conducting interviews in the autobiography. The study is useful for implementing Schwartz Cultural Model for interpreting results and observing results from the conduction of interviews in the autobiography. It helps in evaluating insights on the variation in the cultural differences for India and Australia. This is useful for covering vital aspects for comparing autobiography principles used in experiencing general principles for both nations.

Analysis on Findings

Assessment of the similarities in culture by conducting interview in autobiography

In the current study, there are various similarities within the culture of India and Australia, as observed in autobiography. It can be analyzed from the current results from the interviews conducted by my colleague and me that there are variances in the thoughts and beliefs among the nations (Fanti et al. 2018). I belong to Indian origin and there has been a prevalence of hierarchy in the family structure, which provides direct effect on the operations and manages suitable relationships with one another. In Australian culture, there is also development of hierarchy structure for achieving long- term relationships with the family. The development of Schwartz model has helped in assessing similarities in the cultural aspects for both the nations and observes overall relationship among one another in the autobiography of my friend and my colleague.

The development of suitable similarities in cultural aspects for both the nations from the autobiographies of my colleague living in both countries and me helps in providing direct effect on hierarchy vs egalinatirism dimension. It can be interpreted from the above observations that the maintenance of systematic hierarchical structural origin helps in taking easy decisions and provide me enough support for conducting daily activities in life (Cyranoski, 2018). Besides this the development of suitable adaptation procedures offers extra support for me and my friend for managing obstacles living in both countries and achieving goals.

Moreover, the observation of the results from the above study shows that there are development of suitable similarities and managing overall cultural aspects. It provides direct effect on managing systematic values and beliefs and provides long- term inference for evaluating various aspects of the culture (Kim and Malek, 2017). This provides a proper evaluation for managing different principles for adapting and reducing overall difficulties and adjusting to the local culture for my friend living in India, Australia, and me.

Evaluation of comparison in cultures by conducting interview

There has been observation of several differences in the cultural origins for India and Australia and provides direct effect on the living style. In accordance with the results obtained from both autobiography of my friend and myself, there are certain modifications and adaptations for performing work in daily life in both countries. In India, there is development of strong harmonious relations among one another in the family and increase supportive decisions and minimizing long-term inferences in life. On the other hand, in Australia, there is development of mastery culture and individuals seek competence by conducting personal action and managing obstacles in daily life. The adaption of differences observed in conducting interviews with my colleague in the autobiography led me to create sense of difference in the opinions among one another (Hanif et al. 2016).

The formulation of the interviews in autobiographies of my friend and me infer that I belong to the Indian culture and follows rich sense of tradition in the family. It helps me to manage my work and manage long-lasting support from others and improve social background. The observation of results in the interview emphasized that Indian culture follows rich history and traditions. However, my friend has observed that there is less emphasis provided on managing rich sense of traditions and history in managing aspects in the Australian culture. There has been more preference developed for creating an autonomous lifestyle and take independent decisions for managing entire work (Prashantham and Eranova, 2018). It shows that observations from the differences in the results show that there is vast amount of variation in the family structure and decision-making pattern in both the nations.

The interpretation of results from the observations developed from the autobiography of myself and my friend living in India and Australia shows that there is development of imbalance in the overall decision-making style. The utilization of results indicates that there is variance in the overall characteristics of the culture by implementing the framework and asses overall differences among the cultural basis for both countries. It provides an overall aspect for identifying differences in the cultural framework for the respective cultures in India and Australia during conduction of the interview process (Salin et al. 2019). This is useful for managing differences among one culture and others and measuring overall differences in gaining insights about the principles of the cultural aspects. The evaluation of results shows that there are presence of large amount of variations among the cultural boundaries for both nations gathered from the interview conducted from the autobiography of myself and my colleague. The difference in culture reduces relationships among one another and provides appropriate interactions among one another. There is presence of diversity in the cultural framework for respective countries and provides direct effect on the adaptation process of managing differences in the culture.

Implementation of the framework by analyzing results

The Schwartz Culture model provides an overall depiction of various observations developed from the above cultural differences and evaluates beliefs and values for both countries. This model is vital for interpreting and placing wide range of cultures on the basis of the origin. It creates a set of dimensional framework for observing various characteristics of the cultures in the whole world (Austin et al. 2018). The cultural model depicts set of wide principles by observing results gathered from the interviews conducted in the autobiography of me and my friend living in India and Australia.

There are various dimensions within model that provides deep insight on observing presence of similarities and differences among the cultural origins for both countries. In addition, the evaluation of results shows that my cultural origin in India is to develop wide range of traditions in managing relationships with the social family (Fell and König, 2020). On the other hand, it can be seen that there was presence of strong hierarchical structure in both the countries for managing relationships with one another.  It shows that there is direct effect on hierarchy vs egalitarianism dimension, high embed vs autonomy dimension and mastery vs. harmony in the framework.

This model has helped in identifying and managing large amount of cultural differences and similarities in the cultures for both nations conducted in the interview during the autobiography. The implementation of Schwartz Culture model provides basic insights on observing principles of the cultural backgrounds of both countries in various dimensions and evaluating autobiography for my friend in India, Australia, and me. The formulation of the model is useful for managing indifferences and presenting clear depiction of overall understanding of results gathered from analyzing Indian and Australian culture (Moonen, 2017).

In addition, the framework develops suitable dimensions of cultural aspects for monitoring and measuring observations from the interviews conducted in the autobiography of me and my colleague. There is a direct relationship for assessing overall similarities and in-differences among the cultural boundaries for both nations and provide strong base for managing intercultural communication with local people (Ling et al. 2018). The model provides an overview of positive values and beliefs observed in cultural origins for both nations and systematically manage overall process.

Conclusion

It can be concluded from the above study, that assessment of the results from the cultural autobiography for me and my friend has developed wide range of common similarities. It identifies differences in the cultural origin of India and Australia. The utilization of Schwartz Model of Culture has helped in measuring and analyzing results obtained by managing variations in the cultural aspects for both the countries. It shows that there is development of suitable procedures for managing the differences in the intercultural differences and analyze the cultural aspects for both the nations. The study provides a deep insight for rectifying indifferences and develops suitable process for increasing overall bonding among the Indian and Australian cultures. It provides direct effect on improving cultural bonding and develops understanding among the countries.

Appendix 1: My interview

I belong to city of Chennai located in Chennai. I belong to Indian origin and has been brought up by my parents and live in a joint family. In my family, I have extensive support from my grandfather, who is retired government officer. I focus on developing strong sense of communication by managing facial expressions and try to asses local conditions in the country. I am undergoing education by pursuing master’s degree in management from Great Lakes Management College in Chennai. I like to prefer harmonious relationships among one another and maintain positive relationship with one another for developing strong bonding.

Appendix 2: My colleague’s interview

I belong to Melbourne city, in Australia. I belong to Western culture and have been brought up in single-family with my parents. In my family, there is extensive support provided by mother who is a lawyer for taking independent decisions during difficult situations. I adapt to the cultural differences by investigating local culture and maintain strong bonding with local people. I am undergoing bachelor’s degree in graduation from Melbourne Business School in the city. I like to be managed by managing symbolic relationship among one another and work by taking independent decisions in formulating effective decisions at the right time.
