I could start by explaining to you what covid-19 is but am sure you all know what it is by now. We know how it came about, its effects to the economy, socialization, health and the general way of doing things. The government is working hard to find at least a vaccine if not the cure to this pandemic and there has been great progress. However, we cannot just sit back and wait for everything to get back to normal so that we can continue with our lives. We need to be innovative and creative to find new ways of doing things that will help us continue learning in the midst of the pandemic. Therefore, I will enlighten us on the few challenges of online learning and the things that we can do to enable in-person learning in the pandemic.

On 30th January 2020, the Director-General of the World Health Organization (W.H.O) declared the corona virus a global pandemic (World Health Organization, 2020). After that the world government reacted differently based on how the Virus had affected their countries. Flights were banned, lockdowns were imposed and by July 31st 2020, all schools had been closed for in-person attendance (Ballotpedia, 2020). Therefore, we resulted to online classes which have served us well up to now. However, the virtual learning came with its own challenges such as failure to conduct the practical bit of learning, learners lacking the social affection, and some are also reluctant to participate in the learning. Therefore, we need to plan on the face-to-face learning even as the economy reopens.

First we will split our lessons into a hybrid system where we incorporate in person and online learning (Education Week, 2020). That is, a group maybe grades one to five shall be coming for in person on Mondays and Tuesday and then taking the rest of the week online. The other grades will take the two days for online classes and then be in person for the rest of the week. Learners shall be required to maintain a 1.5 meters psychical distance in class and always wear their masks. Everybody shall be required to disinfect regular sanitizing using the installed point. Lastly, there shall be constant checking and screening for symptoms at the entrance and various spots in the school such as the health centers (CDC, 2020). I therefore hope that everybody shall corporate and let us help each other to go strongly through this pandemic.
