  • She moved to Patzcuro ,Michoacán at the age of 5 and lived there since.

 

  1. How would you rate your health on a scale from 1 to 10, with 1 being poor and 10 being excellent?
  • 6 she was able to get more things done during her day , move quicker ,but know she currently has diabetes and has had a great impact on the way she does things. She can long for a long time but gets tired easily, she has trouble seeing and having quick reactions.

 

  1. Compared to others your own age, do you consider yourself to be in good, average, or poor health?
  • She considers her self average since most of our family has diabetes but have had worse side effects compared to her. But she definitely knows she could have been healthier if she would of started sooner .
  • Now she is extremely careful with what she eats and drinks because she mention she feels terrible if she eats to much sugar or processed foods.

  • She typically does house chores ,water the garden and cook . If she needs to go to the store she typically walks a good hr to come and go . Other then that she still trys to sew.

  • She is normally non-physical , she loves to sew, cook , garden ,or paint

  • Yes, she mention that her hands usually get numb if she spends more than an hr painting ,sew or anything that has her doing the same motions. She is slower at any activities ,and takes longer to accomplish any task.

  • Yes , she gets tired with any activity she does after the 1st hr

  • She has to take insulin shots daily. She needs to be aware of what she eats and when she eats.

  • Losing her energy and mobility

  • She feels incapable of doing certain things with her family since everyone is younger and are always watching for her

  • Not eating healthy foods as often ,and staying active at least walking around

  • She suggest to be aware of your health and get checked regularly incase of any disease, staying active ,and emphasized in eating as clean as possible
