We all use computers in our lives, but we take them for granted without noticing their importance. Easily we can forget computers have been there for many years and the task they played. Since the 1940s, computers have developed in many ways. The first computer mouse was invented in the year 1963 at standard research institute Douglass Engelbart. The mouse used two wheels placed at 90 angles to each other to keep track of each other. Later in the year 1972, the optical mouse was invented, and eight years later, in 1980, the optical mouse was designed. Douglass Engelbart did not receive a royalty for his work until the mouse became commonplace in-home personal computers.

Trackball invention

The first trackball was invented in 1952 before the mouse invention. Fred Longstaff and Tom Cranston come up with the task ball invention as part of a computerized battlefield information system. It had a five-pin bowling ball smaller than ten pin bowling ball. Another type of design in computing hardware is on portable computers. A potable computer was introduced in the year 1975, i.e., The IBM5100 computer. It weighed 25 kg, it had the size of a small suitcase and used external power to operate.  Everything was held in the same unit; processer, Ram and Rom, CRT display of 5 inches, tape drive, and keyboard. It was sold at an average of $9000 to $20000 each. It was introduced to the public as the first portable computer in 1975.

The invention of the first laptop computers

British industrial designer Bill Moggridge designed the first laptop computer in 1979 but started selling in 1982. It featured Intel 8082 processor, 320 by 200 screenland other features. In 1981, IBM’s personal computer was introduced.  IBM 5150 was created by 12 people and was internally referred to as project chess headed by Don Estridge and Larry Potter. To cut costs and speed up the process, IBM used off the shelf parts they could not do so naturally. It had 64 KB of Ram, 8088 processor, also a floppy disk drive,

The first apple computer

Steve Wozniak designed the first Apple computer, which was sold in 1976 at $666.66.It had just a motherboard and 8KB Ram. The motherboard had a processer inside. To use the computer, the user had to use external power.  The user also added a keyboard and displayed it to use the computer. Apple has grown to an extent it had become the first growing computer company in 2018.

The first Ram

The first random-access memory was invented in 1951 by An Wang at the University of Harvard computation lab. It was also referred to as core memory and used magnetic properties. This random access memory had the power to store data even after the power went, unlike current random access memory. It remained in the market until an integrated silicon Ram takes over.

Future expectation

Due to the increased rate of the invention in computing hardware, we expect a future improvement in this sector. Reliance on small touch screens may be reduced by voice control by 2027. Devices that can ask a question, comment, and also recognize voices will have developed in 2027.  Small computers than personal computers need to be invented to replace personal computers, more portable laptops. We have high expectations for the invention of more powered computers that will be dramatically faster and high storage than the current ones. Future computers will rely on also nanotechnology and quantum Computing. The expectation of faster computers has pushed experts to start looking at quantum mechanics to solve those speed issues. This will the computation at a higher level, never seen before 20 years from now.  Through the improved computer, we will be able to connect with everyone in the world without Transport, ropes, or roadblocks. Through an increase in hardware performance, we can provide the capability for broader usage. Through this, the small business will be able to utilize and access a more robust environment. Less attention will be paid to our batteries in the future. Since changing options may become seamless as our desks may have wireless charging stations. The software that requires excellent durability assured security, and performance will be developed with increased hardware development.
