There are several camping sites you can settle on near North Platte. However, before you make up your mind, there are several factors that you should consider. One of the most important factors is the amenities.
You need to find out the type of amenities the camping site provides. Your camping ground should have ample spacing, especially if you are camping in an RV. You should also ensure that there is a shower or restroom.
Second, you need a constant water supply. Gladly, all the ten sites we reviewed in our article have a steady well-water supply. Camping in a place with irregular water supply is one of the most strenuous activities in the 21st century.
You must also consider the location. Is the camping site near roads or not? Are you close to any other tourist attractions? How easily can you access the highway? Are there rattlesnakes in the area? It is not advisable to camp in the middle of nowhere, with no proper roads or infrastructure.
Security is also a key factor to consider should you decide to go for a camping expedition. Make sure that the site is located in a secure area devoid of thieves or wild animals. Losing your possession in the middle of nowhere is something that shouldn’t happen to you. Lastly, check for the RV length limit. Different sites have different RV length limits.
In case you are planning on a trip to North Platte, look out for one of these camping sites.
