Summary of the Answers to the questions.
The first question was about where lean agile methodologies can be applied. In summary, they can be used in software development projects, construction projects, the methods are also beneficial in teaching. Some respondents also intimated that lean agile methodologies could be helpful in large projects, be it in a non-governmental organization, a software development company, or a construction project (Farjad, 2012).
The second question was on the models that are employed in LPM. The answers from the respondents indicated that the most common model used are;
- SCRUM
- Extreme Programming (XP),
- Crystal Methods,
- Dynamic Systems Development Methodology,
- Feature-Driven Development.
Answering the third question, the main difference that was noted was that the approaches were different in the sequence of the project phases. For the traditional methods, the sequence of the phases is linear, while in the linear agile methodologies, the phases are iterative.
Lean agile project management is different from traditional project management in that it is plan-driven while the latter is adaptive driven, and the development of project particulars is iterative.
Lastly, the main advantage of lean-agile project management over traditional project management is that it responded to change rather than just following a plan (Qureshi, Alassafi, and Shahzad 2019).
