LED faucet lights: How they work, and why do you need them?
You must have seen those pretty bathroom faucets that have LED lights fitted in them, and thought to yourself, “isn’t that so pretty?” Well, there is no denying the fact that a bathroom faucet with led light looks pretty, but it is also quite functional in multiple ways. The lights do more than just make the faucet look unique and nice.
So, have you been planning to get bathroom faucets with LED lights on them? If the answer to that is yes, then read to know more about it before purchasing.
The way a LED bathroom faucet light works
The LED light is usually operated through the water pressure in the faucet. Turning the faucet on will make the lights detect pressure, and the colors of the lights will depend upon the pressure. The lights will go off when it detects no more pressure from the faucets.
Some of the LED lights also depend on water temperature to function. In the same way, as it reacts to pressure, the lights detect the water temperature and change their colors accordingly. The usual ones are green for warm, blue for cold, and red for hot water.
Most of the LED lights for bathroom faucets come in various colors, about six to seven colors, but the most common ones that you will find are green, blue, and red. The lights are fixed on the tip of your tap, and it works from there.
The reason why you need a LED bathroom faucet light
As mentioned before, the only job of a LED bathroom faucet light is not to look pretty. It can actually come in handy for the following reasons.
Determining the water temperature
You would want warm water at times to brush your teeth or wash your face. There must have been times when the water has suddenly gone from lukewarm to blistering hot. With LED lights that depend on temperature, you can stop that from happening.
The color of the light changes, giving you a signal about the change in water temperature. The water will change color to red to warn you that it is getting too hot for your use. Similarly, it will turn blue to indicate that it is cooling down, in case you don’t want cold water right then.
Washing in the dark becomes easier
Power outages can happen once in a while, and if you have been washing your hands or doing the dishes at that time, you simply land up in a fix. The lights in the house go off suddenly, and you can neither see what you’re washing or where the soap is. Now, think of how easy things will be if you have a LED faucet light to give you a temporary source of illumination during the power outages.
So, the LED faucet lights are both pretty and functional additions to your bathrooms. It’s time to give a new look to the faucets.
