Limitation and Recommendation for future research
The study was carried out successfully though there were few limitations such as the Covid-19 pandemic, which limited movement and access to the library. Access to the library could have helped in getting more books and journals on the topic of blockchain and banking. Due to this limitation, the research was only based on online materials that had open access.
The studies looked at the challenges that the banking sector faces in the adoption of blockchain technology, and it identified some factors such as the cost of acquiring blockchain specialists and training the workforce. Further study can be carried out to establish how blockchain adoption will affect the current banks’ workforce. Secondly, this study focused specifically on the banking sector, yet blockchain can also be applied in other sectors such as the medical health sector; thus, further research should also find out the challenges that the medical health sector faces in adopting blockchain.
