Lamanna, Riedman, and Stewart define the family as a collective group of people who stick together as a result of blood relation or mutual relationship. They have categorized the family in terms of percentages to illustrate its building blocks and major significance.
Among the functions highlighted, the following are stated; raising children responsibly, providing economic and other practical support, and offering emotional security. These 3, according to the authors, however, are conclusions from local scientists. Despite the fact that there are more analytical functions tied to a family, they beat logic. Scientists have based their research on investigating more then what the local naïve family member knows. They have, in fact, come up with more functions and problem-solving ideas and strategies towards families, especially these modern ones. I totally agree with these concepts since the general idea of having a family is so they may have your back when nobody does ‘nt, to support you to extends that ordinary people won’t.
From the religious attachment theory, a kid’s attachment to God is only determined by the mother’s or the guardians’ influence. Generally, God is seen to be the third party in keeping the family together. This relates to the above theory in that; most families depend on God for emotional security, others even for financial security. Most families raise their children based on the doctrines of their holy religious texts. Most families also believe that raising their children according to religious standards is often the most successful and responsible way of the siring of a child. This assumption may be right, depending on the family and the nature of the religion.
In my opinion, a family goes two ways; For people whose blood relatives are still alive, they already have a family. People, however, who do not share blood with anyone, have people who help them and are close to family. For example, orphans have their foster parents and their relatives as their family. It is basically about the intimacy and the time spent together.
