Metamorphosis in human history
Gradually, capitalism has become the dominant system of the economy across the world. As a result, there has been an accumulation of wealth by economies using a variety of methods. The freedom to acquire this wealth has led to the current wealth concentration and distribution witnessed in the world today. Colonialism strengthened some economies, while some economies were irredeemably weakened after independence. Conflicts still exist in an attempt to control territories. Due to superiority suffered by colonialists, there still exists a supremacy battle amongst the biggest colonizers in the world. The adoption of language and some culture by colonies still exist. Nationalism has promoted the interests of particular countries and maintained their sovereignty. There has been self-determination by nations, with most nations now believing that they are the only sources of political power. Finally, science has given humankind an opportunity to improve on methods of communication and improved quality of life. It has generated changes in morality and basic ways of life.
