In social sciences, the agency is the capacity of individuals acting independently and be able to make decisions alone. While the structure is the recurring patterned arrangements that limit or influence choices and opportunities available. Micro sociology is a level of analysis in sociology concerning the nature of everyday human interactions and agency on a small scale while macro sociology concerns the social structure.
Both micro-macro integration and agency-structure deal with patterns. In both combinations, analyses focus on patterns through which a phenomenon affects the whole population, a larger part of the lpopulation sor even individuals (Kurt). These patterns could be contingent or systematic. Both integrations are a resultant outcome of individual actions. In both, interpretation of socio facts is an individual task while law norms and values are collective responsibilities. In both individual possess the ability to make their own decisions and sustain or discard them at their own free will. Both rely on each other, social action can only be fully explained if structure and agency embrace rules produced is societies through micro-macro integration. It is only by relying on each other that these rules exist. Furthermore. Patterns of relationships determines the behaviour of individuals and how they perform on several actions.moreover, Social realitry is created throough individual and collective action and remains to be a continuous process
On the contrast micro-macro integrations deals with magnitudes of social phenomenon ranging from individuals to whole societies while Agency-structure deals with the real material existence of phenomenon or it exists in the realm of ideas. Micro macro integration permits observation of small to large scale trends and patterns while agency-structure integration focuses on the patterns of adjustments between individuals in communities, communication and interpretation
