Moral principles tend to be the rule of the day

Moral principles tend to be the rule of the day that seeks to govern people’s conduct and how they go about with their lives. The moral principles bring about the concept of ethics that forms the basis of judging what may be deemed right or wrong. The ethics or moral principles are based on different theories such as deontology, rights theory, justice theory, utilitarianism, etc. Ethics are also based on various aspects, such as divine commands and virtues. A case in point expounds on reasons why Christian ethics ought to incorporate virtue ethics and divine commands.

Christian ethics are based on values that tied divine calling and excellent values (virtues) to produce full entity deemed ethical (Bauer, 2018). Primarily, divine command ethics bring about moral values tied to gods that people should emulate to be morally right. At the same time, virtue ethics bring about the concept of morally acceptable values that individuals ought to embrace. Therefore, Christian ethics ought to bring about the god’s teaching values and the acceptable moral values (virtues); hence, its clear indication of them been a blend of the two.

Besides, Christian ethics ought to be virtue ethics and divine ethics, given that both have a similar implication on what is deemed to be morally acceptable values (Bauer, 2018). God and Supreme beings tend to bring to people values such as love, companionate, etc. The same values apply based on virtual ethics, and only that people tend to uphold the traits upright without attaching them directly to religious teachings. Therefore, Christian ethics ought to be a combination of values accrued for virtue ethics and divine ethics, for both embrace similar values, only the backing reason justifying them vary. Notably, religious people will tie them to Supreme Being teachings, while normal people will tie them acceptable values due to the virtue attached.
