most important parts of designing healthcare programs

One of the most important parts of designing healthcare programs is the involvement of coalitions or consortia. Using consortia, an association of many health workers has been on the rise across the world when addressing issues concerning healthcare. However, there are various indicators of the programs being effective. The program’s widespread reach is the first indicator of having implemented the healthcare program. Widespread, in this case, means that the case is that the program has reached as many people as possible. By forming coalitions and consortia, the end goal is to reach spread the program widely in society(Butterfoss & Francisco, 2004). Secondly, when the cost of implementing the program lowers, it is an indication that using coalitions and consortia is indeed effective in the implementation of the program. By using coalitions and consortia, the program the amount of money set aside for the implementation is low since less time will be used in implementing the program.

Using coalitions and consortia increases the accountability and responsiveness to the problems encountered. Where people with different experiences are involved, challenges encountered are dealt with in a more apt manner (Wood, 2016). In the same way, accountability increases in the sense that more people feel responsible for the delivery of the program hence working extra hard to see its success. Similarly, the health program’s success serves as an indicator that the community coalitions and consortia have been implemented successfully. Involving more people in the delivery of health programs has more potential to be more effective than when fewer persons are involved since different approaches are used in the delivery. The effectiveness can be indicated either by a reduction in the number of cases of particular diseases.
