Moving Truck Company is dedicated to offering quality services to Canadians by applying the best customer-oriented strategies in its operations. The following components are what the company will consider for efficient service delivery,
Space and Equipment
The company will have a physical location that clients can visit for services. Space will have a rented space in major cities in Canada that would help in handling logistics problems and complaints. The offices will help in building customer confidence through accountability since the online platform is not enough. The company will also invest more in mobile services where the client will request our services through text, voice call and also the website. The offices will be equipped with computers and tracking software that helps in improving service delivery. The computer will be used for software installation that allows the company management to monitor the movement of the fleet of trucks to improve on efficiency. Space will also accommodate a warehouse that meets the needs for storage of goods if the need arises.
Logistics
The success of logistics of the trucking company will rely on the supporting system strategy that includes a logistics software and a robust, dedicated and passionate team. Moving Truck Company will use WebXpress software for logistics management. The software is appropriate for the organization because of its integration accommodating whole business processes on the same screen (Woofresh, 2020). The features include the total management of all transportation activities, including loading, on-transit and off-loading. The management software also ensures all the fleet of tracks is managed from a single system to promote efficiency and follow-up. It has an additional service that ensures that the data records of the business, including employees, goods delivered and other important details are captured and stored in a single warehouse. The company also has considered the use of a mobile app that the customers can use in booking for the company services and also follow up or track the movement of the cargo to facilitate transparency and efficiency. The company will hire qualified inventory management staff and accounting team to ensure all records are kept and financial statement generated.
Methods and Procedures
Moving Truck Company is customer-oriented and will focus on ensuring the customer needs are addressed. The customer will contact the company through a voice call, text, email or walk into our satellite offices in different cities in Canada. Our customer care team will be responsible for addressing customer demands. The customer care requests the customer details, services they need, their location and the cargo destination. The information given is keyed into the logistics software. The mobile app and company website have the prices for various services offered. The customer is expected to pay before the services are provided. Immediately the transport costs are paid then the customer care team will communicate to the available truck driver and forward the details to the mobile phone and track the truck movement. The company will employ social media technology and the mobile app as tools to review customer feedback to allow improvement on sections with challenges.
Organization
Moving Truck Company will hire full-time staff due to the business nature that requires a flexible team to handle the customer needs on any time of the day except the accountant that works part-time. The primary human resources the company requires on its start include truck drivers, receptionists, an accountant and an administrative assistant. I will head all the operations while my administration assistant will be taking my orders and ensure all the company logistics processes are addressed. The accountant will manage the financial records and produce financial statements that are important for decision-making. The receptionist will be responsible for responding to customers seeking services under the customer care department, and they will be distributed to all the satellite offices to coordinate service delivery. The drivers take the role of delivering the cargo from one point to next or from a store to a respective customer.
The drivers’ jobs will be flexible, and they will be working in shifts of 8 hours each. The other employees’ works 8 hours a day because the offices are opened at 7 am and closed at 6 pm. The delivery of goods at night is only managed by the receptionists working from home or follow-up delivery on the second day using the tracking report. The accountant also works on once in a week handling weekly financial data since the company has limited customers in its initial stages. The accountant is paid per hour to ensure they receive what they deserve. I will be preparing the employees invoices and ensure they have them by the end of the third week by sending them through the email.
Regulation
The company will comply with the government regulation that includes licensing and application for a permit. The average licenses cost for a sole proprietor is $128 annually. Moving Truck Company will also register with the chamber of commerce.
