Mr Khalifa Interview
1 Introduction
Mr Khalifa is one of the wealthiest businesspersons in Abu Dhabi. He owns and runs his own company He started in media in 2007 and later on moved on to media in 201. We decided as a group to get an exclusive with Him. Although Mr Khalifa is a busy man, slotting out interview into his schedule was a noble thing of him. As a group, we decided to pick several questions and find out his opinion on several matters
2 Executive summary
The interview happened in his office at around noon. Khalifa received us with utmost hospitality. Without further ado, we went straight into our agendas. We had several questions, some of which required Khalifa to give us a brief history of his personal life and how he became successful in his business. Despite his endeavours in the media business and his previous employment, our interview also sought to enquire about Khalifa involvement in opening his own film production company, the Hasallah Production. In the end, the objective of the interview was to establish the journey of a resilient man in the media industry. We want to discover how he has risen over the years and established his media brand in the UAE.
3 Findings
We prepared several questions for Khalifa. The first question is on an enquiry about his journey in the media industry; how he decided to start his own media production company. The second quest pokes his interests in how he decided to get into the media industry. We also asked him about how he plans his production work and methods of executing these plans in the end. We also enquired about how he balances his time between family and business. Khalifa was very insightful and displayed much wisdom and knowledge in the way he answered his questions
4 Discussion
Upon enquiry. Khalifa says he decided to get into the media business because he is good in media. He goes on ahead to say that media is his talent. He has known that he was meat to do media since he was a young child. With the existing technology nowadays, Khalifa believes that this is the best time to indulge one’s curiosity in media.
He describes the systematic execution plan of how a film is planned and scripted to how it is shot in the studios. He says it is important to take into consideration the scripting, timing and the setting of the scene to ensure a film attains its best quality. He also touches on a post-production process, which involves editing colour balancing and correction, music and special sound and visual effects. According to Khalifa, Planning is the key role in production to map out the tasks
When asked about timing, Khalifa believes that family time is important and if one can manage wish time and day properly, he will always have time for not only his family and his friends but also for himself; which he says is most important.
5 Implantation
Mr Khalifa has been through many difficulties. In 2010, Khalifa quit employment and partnered with his friend to start Hassallah Production, a brand built on hard work and sacrifices. Khalifa started as in the media in 2007 and moved out to start his own company in 2010. Khalifa started his company by hosting small reality talks to provide his company with a stepping-stone into the media industry. He has continued to do media work by taking part in the production of several Emirati films and taking part in local festivals such as the Dubai festivals among others
6 Conclusion
Khalifa also gives insightful advice to those youths who look forward to starting their own media businesses. Identifying a category that best suits their interests. Such categories involve filming, magazines and even news. He urges them to mentor others and not to work alone
7 Recommendation
Khalifa urges that one should know what he wants to do in the media. This will avoid following pinions that do not suit your best interests at heart. By avoiding constant judgement from people, success is inevitable
