Music and Technology
The technology that is most frequently used by my favorite band is Instagram. This platform is reliable and convenient because the group can upload their music, photos, post updates about their musical activity, and also it’s easy to interact and gain more followers because it is one of the most trending social media platforms.
Social media platforms are making it easier for bands to find and link up with their fans. Bands can create YouTube channels to enable live streaming and downloading of their music. Generating of a Facebook fan page, Instagram, and Twitter accounts, where the band can post anything relating to their music and interacting with followers directly. Musicians can also use google alerts to get instant updates and use emails for official communication with their clients. Applying all these methods provides a way of socially interacting with fans and gaining many followers.
Copyright is a set of rights that is granted to musicians for the songs they produce. Its main objectives are to regulate what musicians can do with their songs, providing legal rights to specific people who can use the music to make a profit and how musicians are going to get paid for the recordings. The copyright rights have changed the music industries by offering more security to the music created by an artist. The current rights allow musicians to produce their music and sell them using different formats, perform songs in public, and posting of songs to various social media platforms. All these changes have positive impacts on the music industry because of the increase in security, distribution channels, and profits.
I always pay for music from my favorite. The payment can be in monetary form or indirectly through the use of data during streaming and downloading in which Internet providers will always pay the band.
I have a backup system for iTunes and other online music. The system provides an alternative means of accessing my music just in case the original file is lost.
