Challenges that made me want to develop the above Skills
As a leader in my organization, I have come to realize that the business environment is changing rapidly. Environmental, political, legal, economic, technological, and social factors are increasingly and rapidly shaping the business environment. These rapid and complex challenges make it difficult for me (and many other entrepreneurial leaders) to understand, interpret, and respond to challenges in our business environment. The changing business landscape is also affecting us, leaders, in tremendous ways because we constantly have to deal with shifting lifestyles and priorities of employees. The modern workforce is rapidly changing the way business should be done. In the past, business leaders did not have to deal, for example, with mixed races of employees. Technological advancements are also affecting business operations through innovations such as social media and web 2.0. With increased completion, customer preferences are also changing because they now have access to a variety of choices. This means that if leaders do not improve our leadership skills, we will not be able to survive these rapid changes in the business environment. These are the challenges that drove me into developing the above entrepreneurial leadership skills and wanting to improve on them always.
Importance of Acquiring the above Skills
As explained above, the business environment is rapidly changing. By acquiring the above skills, therefore, I will not only be in a better position to lead my teams to success, but I will also be in a position to understand and interpret environmental changes in business environments and incorporate the same into decision-making processes. These skills will enable me to also be a good team and project leader in my future career as a business leader. As a leader, I understand that I will only be able to respond to environmental changes in my career by learning and improving on the skills to identify, understand, interpret, and incorporate the changes into strategic decision making. The above skills will put me in a better position to do so.
