My first day on campus

My first day on campus had a significant impact on my life because I always wanted to become a college student who would later graduate and become an essential member of the society. I carried my camera, ensuring the admission day to record all events and keep them for future memory. Upon arrival at the campus residence, the serene environment and crowded students who were admitted to the institution made me reflect on the importance of a camera lens.

Having positioned the camera on my neck, new students and their parents would approach me to take the suitable pictures which I did and immediately transferred the photographs to their computers using my previous experience when I used to capture family and friends; this had nothing to do with the profession however I fell in love with the art and believed that my college mates would like my passion.

My admission day was so busy, and by evening I had decided to continue with my course; however I still do photography within the campus space to get more experience. The event taught me that the united states’ society has actively embraced the idea of photography and has made more people respect and appreciate the art.

During lecture days, there are several students along the lecture halls corridors; I saw this as an appropriate opportunity to use my communication skills and request them to contact me for quality pictures even though I was not a professional photographer. Most students believed in me and supported my vision; hence have been able to make my brand visible across campus. Furthermore, I have been able to balance my academics and photography hobby, therefore, a positive

Currently have worked with several photographers’ cross-campus and believe that once I am done with my degree, photography will become a side hustle, furthermore, have become more independent relieving my parents from the responsibility of sending allowance often. Before joining the institution, I never had the slightest hint that my camera gift would turn into an income source. I intend to start a YouTube channel in the future to expand my brand and impact people’s lives positively through the power of the lens.
