NBA Cares
NBA Cares is the National Basketball Association program that is spread all around the world. The program’s primary aim is a way to try and address the critical social issues that people go through around the world. The program started while focusing only on the United States of America, and currently, it has been in a position to spread to all parts of the world (NBA, 2021). NBA Cares is also providing the opportunity for NBA players to meet their fans al around the world. It allows them to give a break from their daily tiresome career just to go out there and impact other people’s lives. The program has come up with more than 1,650 that houses kids and their families. These are places where these kids can live, play and learn. The NBA Cares has also benefited most of the league sponsors as it has made its brands known worldwide.
The NBA Cares works with other international organizations such as UNICEF, Special Olympics and the Jed Foundation, enabling it to gain more recognition in the world. The league has benefited from this program as it has made it the most-watched basketball league globally (NBA, 2021). Currently, every basketball player always has that dream of playing in the National Basketball Association. The league also benefits from the increased sales of jerseys. The NBA Cares events are always broadcasted by various media stations in the world. These adverts work well for the organization since it makes the NBA increase its popularity in the world’s most remote areas. This has made the league, together with the basketball teams to realize increased sales in their jerseys.
The difference between a program and a campaign is that a program is usually a set of related activities usually taken with a particular long-term aim. On the other hand, a campaign means a course of action that has been organized to achieve a certain goal (Nation, 2021). The goals in the case of a campaign are usually direct, and they are not futuristic. However, for programs, the goals can never be achieved at one time. It involves a process that must continue. The programs are, in most cases, directed towards both helping the organization and helping the people at the community level. Most campaigns are, however, channelled to helping individual organizations.
