Online Education Is As Good As A Standard College Education.

It is now certain that online learning is as worthy as school education if not superior. This can undoubtedly be advocated because of the online learning programs which offer focused education materials to learners. This has led to the enhancement of leaning to various age groups. Research studies show that many students can study a specific subject or unit efficiently when intensive guidance is given to them. This is because many students do not prefer being taught a unit generally but just getting guidelines on how to go about the subject. Online education has made this to be a reality. Many students are now able to focus on their weaker areas on particular topics hence improving their grades. By accessing digital knowledge and the internet, education has been made easy. Thus, many academic scholars now agree that online learning is as worthy as school education.

According to research studies, one student in a group of four is doing registration to an online course. Many students in the world today can access the internet; hence many are enrolling for online education. Online came into action in 2002. During the period between 2002 and 2012, many students have been witnessed registering for online classes. For this long period, many learners have felt that learning online is just as worthy as doing it in college. The crucial thing with online studies is that it is not limited to a particular age group. Different people of different age groups are testifying of how online education has benefited their lives.

Furthermore, people in employment are also utilizing academic online resources to improve their various skills at work. Many parents have also come to understand that online learning is also meaningful just as going to school. Because more parents have realized the importance of online education, they have decided to enrol their kids to academic online courses as an added advantage to their college certificates. Online learning is now being considered both by the young and the elderly in society. They are utilizing academic online programs to enhance their studies. Initially, many parents and students had no confidence in online learning, but as time went by, many are now very confident with the online academic services. It has now been admitted globally that online education is becoming very popular (Joyner, 2017).

Many people are exclusively benefitting from online learning. This includes; adult students, the k12 learners and the elderly students (Sun & Chen, 2016). Many parents are always changing their workplaces regularly. This also makes their children move from one school to another frequently. This has hindered many children from concentrating on their studies because of the frequent movements and change of environment. The young students who cannot go to class because of medical issues also go through the same challenges. On line, education has facilitated such problems by providing learning programs. Adult students always consider their workplaces than going to school. Therefore, for this kind of people, online education has been proved to be more reliable and the most comfortable form of learning. They have realized that online classes provide similar programs and calendars, just like the universities and the colleges do. This includes the provision of exams and assignments. Various but few colleges and universities provide online studies on their official websites. In this manner, the adult students realize that doing the studies online is just as worthy as attending college classes. These colleges provide their students with good softcopy books videos and audios on various subjects on their online programs. This kind of learning to them is more convenient and reliable as it is not confined to a geographical area. This method of learning has benefited the adult students in many ways like; they don’t have to go to class, they are not set time for learning, and useful learning materials are also offered. The other group of students that have benefited to this program are the aged students, As we all know that there is no age limit in learning. One can still improve or upgrade his knowledge concerning a particular area provided that he or she is willing to do so. Unfortunately, many elderly students find it hard to adapt to a standard lecture room. In such situations, online learning has been preferred to be the best mode of learning for the elderly. They can select their course of interest from the many academic courses offered online. It is also essential in keeping their brains working. A long time ago, the elderly students used to doubt online education, but with time they have come to understand that it is just as important as going to sit in a classroom. Studies have shown that many elderly students have opted to online learning in recent times. It is convenient for them because what they need is only the internet and a laptop or a mobile device (Allen & Seaman, 2016).

As we have seen above, there are various advantages of using online learning. First, it is very much affordable; online programs are cheaper when compared to regular class attendance. Due to its affordability, students can undertake their studies at an affordable price. Online learning has also been recommended because of its flexibility and convenience. This is because it is accessible by people of various ages. The employed students are now able to access education at their own convenient time. They don’t have to worry about their tight schedules.

In most cases, there is no fixed schedule for learning; the times and periods are provided according to the intensity of a particular subject being studied (Goodman, Melkers & Pallais, 2019). Online education has also led to the improvement of skills for many people. In most cases, online programs take a short period. By this reason, the online tutors are now able to sharpen one’s skills and thereby increasing their market demand. Many online teachers are well experienced in their subjects of interest, and therefore they can enhance one’s skills in a particular area. Online education has been realized to have an updated curriculum. This is a significant disadvantage to many colleges because their curriculums are not restructured regularly. The updates of the college curriculum take long hence making students use the outdated syllabus. Online programs are always up to date and therefore considered by many scholars (Rosenboom & Blagg, 2018).

In conclusion, it is now clear that online learning is just as worthy as going to college. More students should now consider this mode of education because it is convenient to different age groups, the elderly included. It is also suitable for the students who are employed; hence people are now able to sharpen their skills in their areas of interest. It is affordable for many students, thus not very expensive as compared to attending the regular classroom.  It is not limited to a particular geographical area. One can access education in any part of the world provided that he or she has the internet and an electronic gadget that can access the internet.
