As highschool teenagers, it is advisable to use social media cautiously without posting too much personal information that may make possible targets of cyberbullying. It is, therefore, wise to avoid positing photographs and content that may be considered unethical or inappropriate. It is wrong to post and share photos of other people without asking for their consent. Moreover, it’s is equally unethical to overshare information outside the intended audiences. Oversharing may put users under more risk of identity theft and stalking. While posting content online, it is advisable to be considerate and respectful to avoid hurting other users through bullying and threats. It is wise to, therefore, consider the effect of your posts on others. It is also essential to do research before using hashtags, and other platform features to avoid endorsing the wrong or inappropriate content. As teenagers, it is advisable to minimize or entirely refrain from posting sensitive information to avoid being at risk of becoming a victim of cyber-related crimes like catfishing.
