Open letter U.S Government
The US was initially viewed as the best place to live in and as a land full of incredible life opportunities. Most people move to this nation due to diverse reasons. First, they want to change their lives and their families. Most people move to the U.S since their native countries limit them from obtaining all that they want. At least, the American dream accords them of optimism in life. I feel that immigration should be allowed in this country. There are so many immigrants in this country that seek better experiences for their families. In the U.S, the number of immigrants is over 42 million.
All the parties that have served as presidents in this country make the immigration case more complicated. Some try to fix policies that favor immigrants, while others try to enforce strict policies that restrict immigrants from accessing so many resources in this country. By so doing, they are affecting the lives of immigrants and killing their dreams. Some presidents like Bush tried to limit the issue of deportation while others are fixing it in the immigration policies. Most Americans think that immigrants have come to take their jobs and cause trouble. Contrary, immigrants work to better themselves and not causing a problem. Immigrants are not criminals; they are not after anything negative. They stay in this country because they believe that they can make their dream comes true, and it is a peaceful country. Besides, immigrants have contributed a lot to making this country better. Some of them are entrepreneurs, while others offer skilled labor to diverse institutions. Their contribution has dramatically improved the economy. The president has the power to change all the immigration policies and Make America a better place for all newcomers. They need to live peacefully and enjoy all the benefits that native Americans enjoy. Make this country full of promises by making citizenship eligible.
Young immigrants come to America to further their studies. Some enroll in community colleges and another register for degree courses in diverse universities. I do not support the claim that immigrants should face restrictions. Therefore, many immigrants who have legal documents and have lived in this country for many years. Such immigrants have contributed a lot in this nation for they pay taxes, they have invested in businesses. They have made the country grow. Deportation and enforcement of strict policies should be abolished. All citizens in this country should receive equal opportunities. The current president should allow both legal and illegal immigrants to stay here peacefully. Everybody requires equal rights and options throughout their lives. If they plan to demolish and deport all immigrants, this will affect the entire country’s economy and the native Americans at large. Some of the native citizens depend on these immigrants for both skills and labor in diverse fields. The best way of building American is through embracing all the immigrants, for they are beneficial in this country.
Therefore, instead of deporting immigrants, the governments should embrace a new policy like making all immigrants and refugees treat them with OK respect, just like the Americans. If the governments protect the rights and safety of all immigrants, it will lead to the development of this nation every day. As discussed earlier, immigrants come to this country to obtain better opportunities that are limited in their mother countries. They want to receive a quality education and more options.
Sincerely,
Safia Gul
